Piano Lessons - MDMusicX5

I teach piano lessons in my Boerne home studio.  My music room is equipped with a Sohmer baby grand piano dating back to the start of my teaching career in 1957.  Many a student, including my own four children, has grown to love music while sitting on the bench at this piano!  My living room is graced with a new Kawai baby grand which is used for master classes, small group recitals, or as an occasional change of pace (and touch!).

Lessons are offered in 30, 45 and 60 minute increments. Usually, half hour lessons are reserved for the very young or very early beginners.  As skills and maturity increase, more time is generally required to cover increasingly complex concepts and more advanced repertoire.  These lessons are designed to be fun and rewarding so that learners develop an enduring love for and appreciation of music.  Anyone, at any age, can learn to play and to enhance their enjoyment of music!

A Roland digital piano is utilized for accompaniments and other fun activities. Computerized theory games and other technological aids are vital components of my teacher's toolkit. My music library is extensive and consumes one entire bookcased wall of my music room!

Lessons are provided on a year 'round basis however, most of my student families commit to piano lessons each year during the academic term.  My main teaching year starts in September and continues through mid-May.  Summer lesson packages are available for serious students wishing to maintain or to continue mastering their study.  Tuition is calculated on an academic year basis at a set monthly rate. Summer lessons offer a different tuition plan designed to fit flexible vacation schedules.
